Plasma blood collection tubes are designed to obtain high-quality plasma specimens for clinical and laboratory testing. The tubes preserve the original characteristics of the blood sample without contamination or interference, allowing plasma to be efficiently separated from blood cells after centrifugation.
The plasma tube series includes multiple tube types to meet different testing requirements, such as coagulation tubes with blue caps, heparin tubes with green caps, and tubes containing a sodium fluoride and anticoagulant combination with grey caps.
The coagulation tube is specifically intended for plasma collection in coagulation function assays. It contains a precisely buffered sodium citrate anticoagulant at a concentration of 3.8% (0.129 mol/L) or 3.2% (0.109 mol/L), with a standardized blood-to-anticoagulant ratio of 9:1. The anticoagulant formulation offers excellent stability and sustained performance, while strict microbial control ensures reliable testing conditions for assays such as APTT.
